  9:00 5k Race/Walk begins  $20 if you register before April 1, $25 after.
10:00 Big Wheel Race: (free, BYOBW)
10:30 Easter Egg Hunt  (free)
Inflatables for the kids the entire event!

T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by April 4th.
Cash prizes to overall male and female winners and medals will be awarded.

What’s the purpose of Run the Gump?

Run the Gump is an excellent road race through one of the most established and historic areas of Johnson City. But more importantly, Run the Gump exists to send local Rise Up! kids to camps like Doe River Gorge, Pathfinders and Appalachian Christian Camp. Currently there are around 200 kids involved in our after school, small group or mentoring programs. It’s our desire that all these students have the opportunity to attend one of the summer camps.

What are the registration fees used for?

All fees go to pay for summer camp for our students. All of it!

Who is organizing this event?

Rise Up!, a Johnson City non profit dedicated to inspiring, influencing, and impacting kids to one day attain post high school training and education degrees through their mentoring, small groups and after school programs is organizing the race.

Who can participate in the race?

All runners, walkers, kids, strollers and four legged friends are welcome.

Is this race certified?

Yes. We Run Events will be timing the race and it is USATF certified.
