Building Needs

The Refuge building was first constructed in 1921 as a school for African American children. We acquired it in 2007 after it had been sitting empty for 8 years. Thousands of volunteer hours and dollars enabled it to be opened that summer. But it has several needs:

1. A new roof
2. Parking lots repaved
3. HVAC
4. A new fence
5. A new breezeway connecting building
6. A signage sponsor for these projects
