S.K.I.A. After School Program
SKIA, Sending Kids Into Action! And that is just what we do every day!!! Each day we gather our kids from Indian Trail, Northside, Fairmont and Mt. View (K-7th grades) to come together as a community at the Refuge.
Students learn how to connect the dots through their coaches who focus on academic excellence, character training, creative exploration, caring for others, conflict resolution, citizenship, challenges and celebration.
This past year our SKIA students have learned what it means to make a difference in their community and the world through compassionate service projects and opportunities they engage in weekly. Projects such as community cleanups, caring for the Refuge campus, performances and parties for the John Sevier Center, letters to soldiers, handmade cards to BTM partners, Operation Christmas Child and helping out at Summit Leadership.
